"Great idea, annoying in practice"
I bought this thinking swapping would be super easy, the concept is convenient when it actually works. But half the kiosks I went to were either missing, empty, or out of service, which is the last thing you want when your phone is about to die. I still kind of like the idea, but I definitely don’t think it’s worth wandering around trying to find a working one.
"Handy idea, but kind of hit or miss"
I bought this thinking it would be a lifesaver at the park since my phone was already running low. It did give me a little boost, but it ran out way faster than I expected. The swapping feature sounds super convenient, and I can see it being useful in a pinch, but the actual battery capacity feels small. I still ended up hunting for a wall outlet later, so for me it kind of missed the point.
"Pretty Handy for Trips"
i mean, I’ve used the fuel-rod swaps on a few trips now and most of the kiosks worked just fine. One machine was down once, but I found another one nearby without much trouble. Overall it’s really convenient, just not totally perfect

"Didn't feel worth it at the airport"
I picked one up at the airport because I figured it would be a quick fix, and I assumed if these kiosks were around, people must be using them without issues. Maybe others have had better luck, but for me it was more annoying than just hunting down an outlet. The kiosk wasn't easy to find, the swap took longer than I expected, and the charge didn't feel very strong. When you're rushing to your gate, it just doesn't feel that convenient. I probably wouldn't use it again...

"I’ve been using this for a…"
I’ve been using this for a while now and I’m impressed with how long it lasts. I expected it to run out or wear down much sooner, but it’s held up really well through regular use. It’s nice not having to replace it right away, and overall I’m really happy with it.

"USB-C makes things so much easier"
I used FuelRod while traveling and was glad it worked with my USB-C phone. I didn’t have to deal with adapters or ask someone for a cable, which was nice. Swapping it out was quick too, and it came in really handy when my battery was almost dead at the airport
"Convenient for Travel, Even If It’s Not Perfect"
I mostly use FuelRod when I’m traveling, and overall it’s been handy. The swap price is reasonable, and it’s nice not having to buy another charger or spend time searching for an outlet at the airport or theme park. The machines can be a little hit or miss sometimes, so it’s not totally flawless, but for what it costs to swap, I still think it’s worth using.

"They Did the Right Thing"
I had an issue come up and didn’t expect it to get handled that quickly, but support got back to me fast and fixed it without making it a hassle. It’s nice dealing with a company that actually takes responsibility and treats customers fairly

"Not as travel-friendly as I expected"
I bought this thinking it would be one of those easy grab-and-go things, but it felt bulkier than I expected. It didn’t really fit well in my smaller bag, and I kept feeling like I had to check where I’d put it, which made me a little uneasy. The idea is useful, no doubt, but part of me wonders if the “portable” part is a bit oversold. Just didn’t work out that way for me.

"They Hid the Charges Too Well"
I’m annoyed. The billing was not clear at all, and it feels like they made it confusing on purpose. I shouldn’t have to dig around just to understand what I’m being charged for. That’s on them, and I definitely won’t be using this again

"It does what it’s supposed to do…"
It does what it’s supposed to do, but it took me a little bit to figure everything out at first. Once I got the hang of it, it worked fine and I felt confident using it. Not the most plug-and-play experience, but it gets the job done.

"Paid more for some reason"
I ended up paying more for this, and for some reason I expected there to be at least something extra or better about it. it felt like I got basically nothing for the extra money.

"Cheap cable ruined my plans"
I bought this cable thinking it would get the job done, but it felt cheap right out of the package and stopped working way too fast. I had plans to use it that day and ended up wasting time trying to figure out why nothing was connecting. Frustrating and definitely not worth it.

"Good idea, feels kinda cheap"
I like the whole FuelRod concept, especially being able to swap it out when you need to, but the actual build quality was a letdown for me. Mine feels really light and plasticky, and after only a few swaps the charging tip started getting loose. It still charges sometimes, so it’s not completely useless, but for the price I expected it to feel sturdier. Just doesn’t seem like it’ll hold up
"Didn’t work with my newer phone"
I was frustrated because this didn’t fit my newer phone at all, so I ended up having to borrow someone else’s just to use it. I also felt like I got stuck in a support loop trying to figure out what to do, which made the whole thing more annoying than it needed to be.

"The price seemed fair to me..."
The price seemed fair to me, and buying it was really easy. Checkout was simple, and I didn’t feel like I was being overcharged. If anything, a lot of the usual hassle with online ordering felt totally preventable here, so I’m happy with the purchase.

"Reliable, but I expected a quicker response"
Overall, it’s been reliable and does what I need it to do. I haven’t had any major issues, which I appreciate. That said, I was expecting a faster response at times, so there’s definitely a little room for improvement. Still, it’s been a solid experience overall.

"Convenient, but the swap process was frustrating"
Overall, it was convenient and saved me some time, but the swaps were annoying. I also kept getting inconsistent answers depending on who I asked, which made the whole thing more frustrating than it needed to be. It’s useful, but I wish the process was smoother and the communication was more reliable.

"Still Waiting on My Refund"
I tried to return my fuel rod and get a refund, but customer support kept giving me super vague answers. I still haven’t gotten my money back, it’s been really frustrating

"I made an account because I wanted…"
I made an account because I wanted to keep track of my swaps and payment info, but it ended up being way more annoying than it needed to be. The app kept logging me out, and then when I tried to reset everything it told me my email was already in use, which made no sense. It took a few tries just to get back in. FuelRod itself is fine, but the account/app side feels clunky. I also kind of felt talked down to by the way the app/support flow handled the issue, like it was somehow my fault for not being able to log in. Not the worst experience ever, but definitely frustrating when your phone is already dying.
